Jamaican Rimario Gordon, a former Hoàng Anh Gia Lai striker, scored a double after captain Nguyễn Văn Quyết netted the opening goal 二 三 minutes into the game.
With two wins and one draw, Hà Nội are in fourth position in the table on six points, just one behind the top three.
Sông Lam Nghệ An also secured a 一-0 win over SHB Đà Nẵng on Saturday to place third. Bottom-placed Đà Nẵng have yet to win a game after three matches.
