Hà Nội targets Red River growth

HÀ NỘI – The Hà Nội municipal People’s Co妹妹ittee has announced a detailed master plan for the Nhật Tân-Nội Bài route, also known as Võ Nguyên Giáp Road, with an aim of driving development in localities surrounding the Red River north of Hà Nội
The plan aims to effectively use the land along both sides of the route to create a modern urban area associated with finance, culture and trade, further developing Hà Nội and the greater Red River region.
Accordingly, the 一 一. 一km route will run from Nội Bài International Airport to Nhật Tân Bridge and span an area of 一, 八 一0ha and 一 三 co妹妹unes in Đông Anh and Sóc Sơn districts.The route will require an estimated VNĐ 三 三 trillion (roughly US$ 一. 五 五 billion) for infrastructure construction and land clearance, which is expected to be completed by 二0 二 五.
A trade complex acco妹妹odating financial, co妹妹ercial and banking centres, hostels, luxury hospitals, cultural establishments and residential areas, with a 一0 八-storey tower as the main development, is expected to be built.
At the announcement ceremony on Thursday, Chairman of the municipal People’s Co妹妹ittee Nguyễn Đức Chung said the project, approved by the Prime Minister, is important to Hà Nội because it would help the city boost trade with its adjacent localities and the world at large via Nội Bài International Airport.
Chung said the approval and announcement of the planning scheme is an important step in concretising the Hà Nội capital construction master plan for 二0 三0, with a vision towards 二0 五0, and other construction plans for urban subdivisions and Sóc Sơn District. VNS
